1972 Sunshine Yellow Datson 240Z Coupe. The story of the Datson 240Z dates back to the race track in 1964 when Yutaka Katayama - head of Datson USA - developed the 240Z. Mad to give the Porsche a run for their money with a 2.4L I6 engine fitted with dual Hitachi SU-copy carburetors and boasting 151 horsepower. A 6-cylinder engine with the appeal of the Jaguar E-Type, this had a body design that was beautiful and universally received. Brakes with 10.7" discs in the front and 9" drums in the rear. The 240Z only weighed 2300 lbs, king-size comfort with fully adjustable New hi-back bucket seats and all vinyl upholstery and lavishly appointed. It was engineered for safety, reliability, performance, and comfort. This Sunshine Yellow 240z with black vinyl and 4-speed manual transmission was owned by a well-known 240Z enthusiast and former Air Force pilot.
